Description
This neutral safety and backup lamp switch is designed for a wide range of GM vehicles equipped with Powerglide automatic transmissions and without a console. Applications include 1962-1966 Chevrolet Chevy II and Nova (X-Body), 1964-1966 Chevrolet Chevelle and El Camino (A-Body), 1958-1966 full-size Chevrolet models including Biscayne, Bel Air, and Impala (B-Body), and 1960-1972 Chevrolet and GMC C/K pickup, Blazer, Jimmy, and Suburban trucks. Installed at the steering column, this switch prevents the engine from starting unless the transmission is in the proper gear position and activates the backup lamps when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Manufactured to factory-style specifications, it serves as an OEM-style replacement for malfunctioning or worn original switches during electrical system repair or restoration.
