Same quarter panel! | Quarter panel removed, it was about 1 inch too low in the rear and about 1 inch too high in the front. It was on crooked because they put the outer wheel well on wrong. It was rotated with the rear downward. And the only way the quarter panel would line up is to angel it downward as well. That was about $350 wasted by the previous owner. | This picture shows how far off the outer wheel well was, that lower part is supposed to be down inside the rocker panel.
In process of doing a mini tub and repositioning the outer wheel well. | Showing the space gained by doing my own mini tub. I split the inner wheel well and added about 2-3/4" strip of metal down the middle and welded it in place. | Cutting out all the metal to do the mini tub is quite a chore. Its not really hard to do... just time consuming dirty work.

Christmas in September 2014 | 67 Camaro Floor panel to be installed in a 68 Nova. | 67 Camaro dash to be installed in 68 Nova, reason you might ask.... Well the past owner stripped all the interior from the car and threw it away. Some of you know that a 68 Nova is a one year only car for some of the parts, such as the ash tray, A pillar covers etc. And a set of junky A-Pillar covers for a 68 Nova can range from $350 to $585. I can get new 67-69 Camaro interior pieces all day long just about anyplace online. Some of you do not know that the 68 Nova was designed after the 67 Camaro and many of the parts will interchange between the two, some can be interchanged but need some modifications. (For example, the floor pan of the Nova is about 3 inches longer than the floor pan of the Camaro. The upper and lower firewall are nearly identical (except the Camaro transmission tunnel has more of a square shape than a rounded shape) the Camaro transmission tunnel gives more room for a larger transmission such as the T56 Manual 6 speed transmission from 98 & up Camaro & Firebirds. And possibly the 6L80 Automatic transmission. You will see in later pictures that I stretched the floor pan and added panels to fill the void. As for the carpet.... its a two piece design that over laps under the seats. So I am in hopes that I can just used the Camaro carpet in the Nova. Worst case scenario... I will have to have a custom carpet made.
